How to Learn Internet Marketing
Business owners who do not know a great deal about Internet marketing but who wish to implement Internet marketing into their overall marketing strategy should carefully study the basic principles of Internet marketing before launching their online marketing campaign.
Fortunately for these business owners there are a variety of options for learning about Internet marketing.
These options may include online research, reading published books and studying successful Internet marketing campaigns. Keep in mind that books often take many months to write and publish. Compare what you read with what you observe being done on the Interent.
Researching Internet marketing online is one method which can be used for learning more about this topic.
This type of research can be very informative and can provide the business owner with a great deal of advice and other information. However, it can also provide the business owner with a great deal of misinformation.
When researching any subject online it is very important to note that not all of the information available online is accurate, may be misleading or confusing.
This may be on account of a variety of factors. Sometimes content is written by those who do not have a great deal of knowledge about the subject matter as well as content which was written years ago and is outdated.
This can be frustrating but fortunately business owners can still learn from the Internet.
This just means you should be more cautious about accepting information as being accurate and may wish to verify the information you obtain before implementing an Internet marketing strategy.
Enjoy, Don @ DMC Enterprises, Inc.

Do You Know Your Online Marketing Audience?
A website which is designed to attract the attention of an older generation with more conservative tastes should include muted colors, clean design and conservative graphics. This will serve to ensure the target audience enjoys the website.
Conversely, if you are looking to appeal to a younger audience with more liberal viewpoints you might chose to design the website with bold colors, eye catching graphics and creative design features.
The copy you include on your website should also take your target audience into consideration. Consider the examples of a conservative and a liberal audience listed above to create a better understanding of how the copy on your website can appeal to the target audience.
When marketing to a more conservative audience, the copy should be tailored to use formal language and use facts to back up viewpoints.
However, when you are marketing to a more liberal audience or a younger audience you can consider using less formal language which is likely to appeal to the target audience. You can also focus more on emotion to express viewpoints.
Finally, when a website is created for the purposes of Internet marketing it is important for the design of the website to appeal to the target audience.
You may wish to include audio and video clips on your website but these clips should appeal to the target audience.
For example, if your website sells skateboards you might consider incorporating audio clips from punk rock bands instead of country music bands. There may be some skateboarders who enjoy country music but in general punk rock music more closely represents the skating culture.
Keeping these details in mind is of the highest importance for Internet marketing.

Marketing on the Internet with a Digital Newsletter
However, on your own site this could include registering with your website and requesting to be added to your email distribution list or providing an email address and requesting additional information in some other manner.
Sending your online newsletter to recipients who have specifically requested more information is a good idea. These Internet users are already interested in your products and are likely to appreciate the e-newsletter instead of viewing it as spam.
The content of your e-newsletter should be considered next. This may include the actual copy contained within the e-newsletter as well as graphics, links and advertisements.
Keeping direct advertising to a minimum is ideal, but it is acceptable to use soft advertising techniques to promote your products or services.
The copy in your newsletter should be insightful information which will be useful to your readers. You may wish to include objective articles, product reviews or shorter articles containing useful tips.
Links to your own website or to other websites which might be of use to your target audience can also be included.
These links may come in the form of direct advertisements or the links may be embedded in the copy of the e-newsletter when appropriate.
If you plan to utilize an e-newsletter to promote your products or services, you should consider hiring an experienced writer to create the content for your website. This will help to ensure you are generously providing your readers with top quality content.
Likewise if you intend to include graphics you should have a graphic designer assist you to ensure your e-newsletter looks professionally put together.

And Is Internet Marketing Working For You?
This is so important because while there is a great deal of Internet marketing which can be done without a great deal of expense, other types of Internet marketing do have financial costs associated with them.
Also, in both cases there is a time and energy burden to orchestrating Internet marketing. For all of these reasons it is important for you as a business owner to continuously evaluate your marketing techniques and strategies to determine what is working and what is not.
This will help you to focus your business efforts on marketing strategies which are providing positive results as opposed to those which are either not providing results or are only providing lackluster results.
Let's take a look at a few different marketing strategies as well as how business owners can evaluate the productivity of those strategies.
Affiliate marketing is certainly one of the most cost effective Internet marketing strategies available.
This marketing strategy involves having other website owners known as affiliates place an advertisement on their websites to direct Internet traffic to your website.
This marketing strategy can be very cost effective because in most cases the affiliate is only paid when they produce a desired result. The required result may be enticing an Internet user to click through the advertisement or to purchase a product or service once they click through the ad.
While your business is only paying for the advertisement when it produces a desired effect, it is still worthwhile to evaluate the productivity of these ads to determine whether or not they are working well.
Fortunately affiliate marketing ads have a natural feedback mechanism which makes it easy to evaluate how well the ad is working. This feedback is provided in the form of code embedded in the advertisement which specifies which affiliate generated the website visitors.
This pertinent datum is provided for the particular purpose of issuing payment to the affiliate. Done properly, it can also provide your business with useful information on which affiliate ads are the most effective.
This information is especially useful when the affiliates are posting different ads.
You may conclude which of the ads posted by the more successful affiliates are more appealing to potential customers and may opt to use this style of ad for all of your affiliates.

Internet Marketing the Easy Way
However, Internet marketing is not overly complicated and many business owners can enjoy at least some degree of Internet marketing success with only limited knowledge about the business of marketing on the internet.
Seminars and educational material of all kinds may be found for the process of internet marketing. Many of the seminars are days long and very expensive and others are free.
This informative article will discuss some of the simplest Internet marketing strategies business owners can implement to promote their business online.
Participation in industry related message boards is one of the easiest ways a business owner can use the Internet as a promotional tool.
Message boards are websites which provide a platform for Internet users who share a common interest to share information related to this subject or just socialize. Business owners may opt to join message boards which closely relate to their industry or the products or services they offer.
This is important because doing this provides the company owners access to a group of Internet users who fall into the target audience for his products or services. It also gives the business owner the opportunity to promote his own website.
Many message boards actively permit users to put a direct link to their own website in their signature. Business owners who do this and also contribute useful commentaries on the message boards may attract potential customers via the link they put in their signature.
Additionally, some message boards may even allow users to post links in the body of the message. This provides the business owner the chance to offer his link in response to questions and comments when doing so is relevant and offers something of value to the online conversation.
However, care should be taken to carefully review the terms of service and all guidelines on the message board before posting links to ensure this is not a violation of the policies of the message board.
Failure to adhere to message board policies may result in removal from the message board or the posts being viewed as spam by other users.

Are You Hiring a Consultant for Internet Marketing?
It is definitely worthwhile to consider hiring a consultant to assist you in your advertising endeavor.
This is important because they can do a great deal to assist you in ensuring that the marketing effort is a success. You may pay more for their services than you would to handle the Internet marketing on your own but the results you gain from the effort will likely be significantly higher.
Hiring a consultant to assist you in your Internet marketing campaign is even a worthwhile endeavor if you have some experience in Internet marketing but are competing in a competitive niche and need some additional assistance to help you rise above the competition.
The key to hiring a consultant to assist in an Internet marketing campaign is to hire the right consultant. You will find there are many different options available to you as Internet marketing has become a huge industry.
Not all consultants are created equal however, and their track record is of significance.
You may find that some consultants can create significantly better results than other consultants.
There are, however, a few characteristics to look for when seeking a qualified consultant in the Internet marketing industry. And, surprisingly, cost is not one of the most important considerations.
Experience and past performance are much more important. You can compare costs among consultants who are similarly qualified but using cost as a primary source of evaluation is not recommended.
Experience is very important when it comes to selecting a consultant to assist you in an Internet marketing campaign. Experience is critical because consultants who have a great deal of experience also have a great deal of understanding of which techniques work best and which techniques are not as effective.
This can save you a great deal of time and money as there will likely not be as much experimentation necessary as there would be with a less experienced consultant.
More experienced consultants will also likely be better skilled at dealing with clients and will likely answer your questions more quickly and keep you better informed about the progress of your Internet marketing campaign.
All of this is important because you will likely be very interested in receiving progress reports and staying up to date on everything that is going on with your Internet marketing campaign.

Are You Already Marketing On The Internet - and Don't Know it?
For example, do you include keywords which are relevant to your business in the content of your website? Business owners who answer yes to this question are also already marketing on the Internet by optimizing their website for these keywords.
These search engine optimization (SEO) affects the websites whether or not they were even aware of the concept of keyword density and how it can help to SEO a website.
Business owners will likely use certain words often depending on the type of products and services they offer just because it is natural and logical to do so.
This tendency, however, can result in search engines boosting your website rankings for these particular keywords.
The concept of SEO is much more involved and complex than simply using keywords frequently but business owners can gain some benefit just by naturally applying relevant keywords to their website.
How about this? Do you solicit feedback from your customers online?
This is yet another example of how business owners may be accidentally marketing their business on the Internet.
Most business owners realize the importance of soliciting feedback from customers for business purposes. Business owners who offer products online might solicit feedback in the form of online surveys, having an email address, or a Q and A page.
Although the business owner may be doing this simply for a business purpose the fact that it is done online makes it fall into the category of Internet marketing.
We have already discussed several ways in which business owners may already be marketing online but what about business owners who want to have an increased online presence?
Business owners who may already be marketing online accidentally may wish to launch a full scale Internet marketing campaign.
One of the best ways to do this is to hire a consultant with experience in Internet marketing to assist you in creating a campaign which is effective for your target audience.

Is Internet Marketing A Myth?
I've taken a lot of internet marketing courses
and read a lot of ebooks. And most of them talk about
the same things:
--Sign up for an autoresponder
--Create a squeeze page
--Create a series of emails
--Rinse and repeat
You can make a LOT of money doing this...don't
get me wrong.
But you can make a lot more if you start
harnessing offline marketing in your business.
You see, online marketing is preached as the
"holy grail" of marketing.
But ask the big information marketing
powerhouses like Agora(tm), Boardroom(tm), and Weiss(tm)
where the REAL money is made. They absolutely
clean house offline...humiliating any online
marketer who comes in their path.
Here's the deal: Millionaire internet marketer
Russell Brunson has just released a special
offline report: "The IM Myth" where he shatters
the myth that internet marketing is the "be
all-end all" of marketing.
You can check it out here:
"The IM Myth"
Believe me, this stuff is the real deal. The
marketers who absolutely annihilate their
competition are the ones that incorporate offline
marketing into the mix.
So check out Russell's report today before your
competition discovers it.
Thanks,
Donald, publisher of DMC-Publishers
P.S. One of Russell's tips he reveals is how he
moved his offline list online. This absolutely
blew me away, and is something I'm going to
implement in my own business immediately.
So get it today, right now, while it's still on
your mind.

Do You Market on The Internet?
Take a moment to think about how you would really answer this question.
Give it enough thought and you realize just about any professional or business owner who utilizes the Internet for any particular reason may already be marketing their goods and services on the Internet. This may be true whether or not they intentionally organized an Internet marketing campaign.
Here I'll examine some subtle ways professionals and business owners may already be marketing their business on the Internet.
For example, do you have a website for your business?
Business owners or professionals who respond yes to this question are already marketing their business, goods or services online just by virtue of the fact that they have a website. Having a live website means there is the potential for curious Internet users to access your website.
You may not be actively promoting your website but you may still find that your website generates interest in your products despite the lack of promotional endeavors; this is a form of passive marketing.
Or, how about this? Do you actively participate in message boards and include a direct link to your website in your signature?
Again business owners who answer yes to this question are already marketing their website online.
Savvy professionals and business owners realize the critical importance of participation in business related message boards to create an interest in their products and services. It also establishes them as knowledgeable about the industry and offer a direct link to their own website even if it is in the signature line of their posts.
However, even professionals and business owners who do not realize this may already be enjoying the benefits of Internet marketing which result from message board participation just by doing something they enjoy and may be doing as a form of leisure activity.

Seven Self-Motivators
Here are seven Self-Motivator reminders for you to review on a regular basis.
#1 - Get Serious. Make a decision to go all the way to the top. Up to now you've thought about it. Up to now, it's passed your mind. Many of you made the decision, and you've made up your mind to go all the way to the top, and your lives have taken off. It's the most extraordinary thing. Your life is one, like in the shadow going up the dark side of the hill until the moment you decide that "By gum, I'm gong to be the best at what I do. I'm going to be in the top 10 percent." And suddenly you rose into the sunshine, and your life is forever after different -wonderful. Get serious. Don't fool around anymore.
#2 - Identify Your Limiting Step to Sales Success. What's your limiting step? What's the one skill area that's holding you back? What's the skill? What's the quality? What's the action? Ask other people. Find out what you need to become good at. Sometimes it may be only one skill. If you became really, really good on the telephone, you could maybe double your prospecting effectiveness and double your sales. If you became very, very good at getting the order at the end from qualified prospects, you could double your sales. If you became very, very good at managing your time to really, really manage your time well, you may be able to double your face time and double your income. Find out what's holding you back. What is the critical limiting step that's determining your success today?
#3 - Get Around the Right People. Who are the right people? The right people are the people in this room. Get around winners. Get around positive people. Get around people with goals and plans, people who are going somewhere with their lives and have high aspirations. Get around eagles. As Zig says, "You can't scratch with the turkeys if you want to fly with the eagles." And get away from negative people. Get away from toxic people that complain and whine and moan all the time. Who needs them? Life is too short.
#4 - Take Excellent Care of Your Health. Take excellent care of your physical health. That means good diet, good exercise. Everybody knows they should eat better foods, get regular exercise and especially lots of rest. That's very important. If you're going to work hard 5 days a week, go to bed early 5 days a week. Get a good night's sleep. Be fully rested, and tonight get really rested. You don't have to watch the Letterman Show...
#5 - Positive Visualization. See yourself as the very best in your field. Remember, all improvement in your life begins with an improvement in your mental pictures. Visualize yourself, see yourself as the best continually. You are the best. Isn't that right? So therefore, see yourself as the best.
#6 - Positive Self-Talk. Talk to yourself positively all the time. Control your inner dialogue. And what do you say to yourself? Say, "I'm the best." Say it. Say I'm the best. I like myself. I can do it. I love my work. Yes, that's how you talk to yourself. And the more you say it to yourself...someone may say, "Well, what if you say those things to yourself and you don't believe them. Isn't that lying to yourself?" No, that's not lying to yourself. It's telling the truth in advance. Because it doesn't matter where you're coming from - all that matters is where you're going. Talk to yourself the way you want to be, not the way you just happen to be at this moment. Remember, you may have gotten where you are today largely by accident. But where you're going in the future is purely by design.
#7 - Positive Action. Get going. Move fast. Develop a sense of urgency. A sense of urgency is the one thing that you can develop that will separate you from everyone else in your field. Develop a bias for action. When you get a good idea, do it now. Only 2% of people in our society have a bias for action. And if you're already in the top 10%, you can move yourself in the top 2% by resolving that whenever you have an idea or something, do it now. And the faster you move, the better you get. And the better you get, the more you like yourself. And the more you like yourself, the higher your self-esteem is. And the higher your self-esteem is, the greater your self-discipline. And the more you persist, then you ultimately become unstoppable.
Remember, You're the best!

Consultant or Coach
Many times people are looking for a solution to a problem in their life. The problem may be a professional problem that is related to their job or career.
Or the problem may be a personal one that is affecting the way you deal with the rest of your life. You may need to find a solution to a huge problem at work, or you may be feeling less than satisfied with the turn your life has taken.
No matter why you need answers, or how you want to find those answers, there is a method and means for you to accomplish it. You simply need to decide how you want to tackle the problem.
Consultants and coaches are available to help clients reach their fullest potential. The key to reaching that potential is to empower themselves with the strongest tool available.
In some cases this will be a consultant and in other cases it will be a certain type of coach. The method that you choose will depend on your needs and in what direction you want to focus their energies.
Sometimes asking for a little help while looking for a solution or trying to achieve a goal is difficult for some people.
This is becoming less the case as more people and corporations are turning to coaches and consultants to help them find viable solutions to problems or help in manifesting their dreams.
Consultants and coaches are trained to assist people by providing them with the best training and latest techniques available.

Five Tips For Creating Successful Habits
Fully 95% of everything you accomplish, or fail to accomplish, will be determined by your habits, either good or bad. Successful people have good habits that guide and direct them to ever greater success. Unsuccessful people have bad habits that trip them up throughout their lives.
Here are five things that you can do immediately to begin developing the kind of habits that lead onward and upward to a wonderful life:
First, imagine that you have a magic wand. You can wave this magic wand and create your future anyway you like. Project forward 3-5 years and imagine that your future was perfect in every way. What would it look like?
One of the fastest ways to pull yourself out of your current situation is to imagine an exciting future. This visualization or picture of something that you can be, do or have will often stimulate you into new behaviors.
Second, set clear, written, measurable goals to achieve that ideal future vision. Take out a piece of paper and write down exactly what you want. Set a deadline, make a plan to accomplish it and work on that plan every single day.
Third, identify the most important new habit or behavior that you could practice that would help you to achieve your goal. Perhaps it is the habit of getting up and getting going early. Perhaps it is the habit of setting priorities and working on high-value tasks. Perhaps it is the habit of being more patient and listening to people more carefully. Whatever it is, begin to practice that habit every single day.
Fourth, tell other people that you have decided to develop this particular habit. Encourage them to remind you when you slip from time to time. Knowing that other people are watching you is a powerful stimulus to personal change.
Fifth, give yourself a reward each time you practice the habit that helps you to attain the goal that moves you closer to your ideal future vision. When you make a giant step forward, give yourself a giant reward. We are all motivated by incentives, and the incentive system that we set up for ourselves can be the most powerful force for transforming the way we think, feel and act.

"Your 10 Keys to Copy That Sells!" by Alexandria K. Brown, "The E-zine Queen"
Whether you're selling a product or service, these 10 tips are your keys to writing great copy that communicates and persuades ... to get results! These guidelines can apply to Web copy, e-mail, sales letters, brochures, direct mail, and more - as long as your goal is to get response from your readers.
1. Be reader-centered, not writer-centered.
Many ads, brochures, and Web sites talk endlessly on and on about how great their products and companies are. Hello? Customer, anyone? Think of your reader thinking, "What's in it for me?" If you can, talk with some of your current customers and ask them 1) why they chose you, and 2) what they get out of your product or service. TIP: To instantly make your copy more reader-focused, insert the word "you" often.
2. Focus on the benefits -- not just the features.
The fact that your product or service offers a lot of neat features is great, but what do they DO for your customer? Do they save her time or money? Give her peace of mind? Raise her image to a certain status? Here's an example: If you go buy a pair of Gucci sunglasses, you're not just looking for good UV protection. You're buying the sleek, stylish Gucci look. So that's what Gucci sells. You don't see their ads talk about how well made their sunglasses are. Think about what your customers are REALLY looking for.
Now, what does an insurance broker sell? Policies?
Nope -- peace of mind. (See? You've got it.)
3. Draw them in with a killer headline.
The first thing your reader sees can mean the difference between success and failure. Today's ads are chock full of clever headlines that play on words. They're cute, but most of them aren't effective. There are many ways to get attention in a headline, but it's safest to appeal to your reader's interests and concerns. And again, remember to make it reader centered -- no one gives a hoot about your company.
Bad: "SuccessCorp Creates Amazing New Financial Program"
Better: "Turn Your Finances Around in 30 Days!"
4. Use engaging subheads.
Like mini-headlines, subheads help readers quickly understand your main points by making the copy "skimmable". Because subheads catch readers' eyes, you should use them to your benefit! Read through your copy for your main promotional points, then summarize the ideas as subheads. To make your subheads engaging, it's important to include action or selling elements.
Bad: "Our Department's Successes."
Better: "Meet Five Clients Who Saved $10K With Us."
5. Be conversational.
Write to your customers like you'd talk to them. Don't be afraid of using conversational phrases such as "So what's next?" or "Here's how do we do this." Avoid formality and use short, easy words. Why? Even if you think it can't possibly be misunderstood, a few people will still be confused. Plus, being conversational helps prospects feel like they can trust you more.
6. Nix the jargon.
Avoid industry jargon and buzzwords -- stick to the facts and the benefits. An easy way to weed out jargon is to think of dear old Mom reading your copy. Would she get it? If not, clarify and simplify. (This rule, of course, varies, depending on who your target audience is. For a business audience, you should upscale your words to what they're used to. In some industries, buzzwords are crucial. Just make sure your points don't get muddled in them!)
7. Keep it brief and digestible.
No one has time to weed through lengthy prose these days. The faster you convey your product or service's benefits to the reader, the more likely you'll keep her reading. Fire your "biggest gun" first by beginning with your biggest benefit -- if you put it toward the end of your copy, you risk losing the reader before she gets to it. Aim for sentence lengths of less than 20 words. When possible, break up copy with subheads (see no. 4), bullets, numbers, or em dashes (like the one following this phrase) -- these make your points easy to digest.
8. Use testimonials when possible.
Let your prospects know they won't be the first to try you. Give results-oriented testimonials from customers who have benefited immensely from your product or service. Oh, and never give people's initials only -- it reminds me of those ads in the back of magazines with headlines like "L0se 50 P0unds in 3 Days!" Give people's full names with their titles and companies (or towns and states of residence) -- and be sure to get their permission first.
9. Ask for the order!
Tell your reader what you want her to do -- don't leave her hanging. Do you want her to call you or e-mail you for more information? Order now? Call to schedule a free consultation? Complete a brief survey? Think about what you'd most like her to do, and then ask her. It's amazing how many marketing materials I come across every day that don't make it clear what the reader should do. If you wrote interesting copy, your reader may forget you're trying to sell something. Tell her what to do, and she'll be more likely to do it.
10. Have your copy proofread!
Good. Now have it proofread again. Don't risk printing any typos, misspellings, or grammatical mistakes that will represent your company as amateurs. Hire a professional editor or proofreader to clean up your work. Remember, you only get one chance to make a first impession! Oops -- impression.
